On June 8, 2014, Genie and Luoma Minsheng Department Store cooperated in promoting new arrivals. They invited Miss Li Xiaoran, a Chinese film and TV star, as the lottery-drawing guest for the lottery-drawing activity “Genie Watches, as Classical as You Wish” (May you get what you wish for!)

It was said that this promotional event was organized to appreciate the friends and citizens from Xi'an for their support of Genie watches all along while celebrating the fifth anniversary of the founding of the department store. Genie not only introduced its 2014 new products but also arranged a diversity of activities and awards. Li Xiaoran, the brand spokesperson and a celebrated film and TV star invited as a lottery-drawing guest, was warmly welcomed by the visitors, becoming the highlight of the event. As the spokesperson of Genie watches and an old friend of the locals, she showed her warm smile to the audience and actively interacted with them, showing her geniality and composure.

Genie originated in 1919 in Grenchen, known as the “Watching-Making City” in Switzerland, is one of the Swiss watch brands with the most traditional and classical style. With the brand passed down over the past century, its successors have adhered to their pursuit of the traditional Swiss watch craftsmanship. Meanwhile, it upholds the business philosophy “Hereditary Classics and Continued Transcendence” and innovative design ideas. By combining consumer requirements and fashion trends, it has given its products a solid quality and an extraordinary character, making them “transcend classics though originating from classics”.

With its watches introduced to China in the early 21st century, Genie has been committed to making classical Swiss watches so that its hereditary classics are always on the wrists of people and its tradition is passed on.

To better demonstrate the core value of the Genie brand and boost its influence, Genie began in 2011 to have Li as its spokesperson, who posed for its brand print advertisement and classical product print advertisement, causing a sensation in the market.

To maintain its market popularity, Genie held a successful brand launch event, brand spokesperson signing ceremony & annual national distributor conference in May 2012, which helped its brand influence to rise rapidly. Through promotions and Baselworld, its brand has improved in popularity and brand awareness.

At present, Genie’s strategy for brand development in China has been unveiled. The market of Northwest China is a place of fortunes for the brand, with its advertisement billboards appearing in Xi’an Xianyang Airport and various cities in the region. On the occasion of the fifth anniversary of Luoma Minsheng Department Store, the brand worked with its spokesperson Li Xiaoran to express its appreciation to the consumers in Xi’an for their support and care all along, in hopes that that the department store, Genie, and the citizens of Xi’an would get closer with each other on a win-win basis.
