To celebrate the entry of its watches into Jinniu Fashionable Famous Watch Store at Capitaland Plaza in Chengdu, Genie hosted a grand launch ceremony at the atrium of the plaza on October 13, 2013, attended by industry leaders and VIP guests. Li Xiaoran, its spokesperson and a film and TV star, was present to boost the atmosphere.

The event was also said to be a Genie induction ceremony and a launch event for its new 2013 products. The stage curtain was slowly raised jointly by Ma Wenbo (brand manager of Genie China), Li Xiaoran the spokesperson, Zou Jinyu (chairman of China General Timepiece Association), and Liao Pinyan (general manager of Jinniu Capitaland Plaza Store), signifying the official start of the event.

In addition to wonderful art and culture performances, the event featured a show of new Genie products. Fashionable and beautiful models wearing the new arrivals waltzed between the stage and the crowd, fully demonstrating the classics and noble elegance of the watches.

The event reached the climax with the arrival of Li Xiaoran, Genie spokesperson. Showing up in a flower-patterned dress, she expressed her blessings for Genie and her greetings to the people of Chengdu. Touched by the enthusiastic locals, Li said that Chengdu was an ancient culturally significant city and had a history as long as Genie. She hoped that she would have more opportunity to appreciate the tradition, culture, and history of the city and further communicate with its citizens.

This event, greatly impressing the people of Chengdu, was over, but Genie had just begun its journey at Jinnjiu Famous Watch Store at Capitaland Plaza, Chengdu, hoping that it could give back to the citizens with better-quality products and superior brand performance as a way of appreciating them for their support and care.
